Difficulty Chart Obby
More actions
A Difficulty Chart Obby is a type or sub-genre of obby that adheres to a strict but fluid difficulty "chart" scaling system, with an incremental increase in difficulty per each difficulty. There can be any amount of stages/levels in each difficulty, but a game is considered a 'Per Difficulty Chart Obby' if it is only one stage. The sub-genre emerged from popular tower obby game's tower difficulty scaling system and evolved to a new thing afterwards.
Difficulties
The Difficulty Chart Obby sub-genre originally emerged as a spin off to popular Tower Obby game Eternal Tower's of Hell (Previously JToH), meaning that most of the difficulties in a difficulty chart obby followed or used the same difficulty system as EoTH. However, now there is no standard and difficulty names and colors can pretty much be anything. Most games still choose your standard difficulties like Effortless, Easy, Medium, Hard, Insane, Remorseless, Catastrophic, Impossible, etc. But anything past hard becomes more blurry and subjective.
