Nicknation Games is an obby development studio founded in December 2019 by @Nick_MC. It quickly came to absorb Obby Master, a 2018 title by @Nick_MC, and later focused on developing the New Obby Master.

History

Nicknation Games was started in December 2019 by Indonesian independent Roblox developer @Nick_MC as a hub for his existing game Obby Master, a then popular round-based/mini-game type obby game from 2018. Somewhere in mid-2024, when Roblox introduced the feature to transfer user games to groups, Obby Master was transferred under Nicknation games, where it currently remains.

In 2020, a subsidiary of Nicknation Games called 'Obby Master Universe' was created and later published Obby Master Revitalized, the first attempt at revitalizing the then stagnating player-base of Obby Master. The game featured 10 large new maps and re-engineered mechanics, but saw no real player-base or community and was later abandoned, leaving Nicknation Games the only active Obby Master development studio.

Following the decline of Obby Master's popularity, Nicknation Games released a follow-up sequel of sorts, New Obby Master, which took the existing Obby Master maps and converted them into a linear-style progression obby game instead, but it didn't catch on as well as the original.
